Default R/W or W/R for runner

With the Ranger/Warrior you can better use the expertise running skills but do not get the best armor.

With the Warrior/Ranger you get better armor and resistance; however you do not get to upgrade the expertise skills.

So which one should I choose?
Any suggestions or a link would be much appreciated.

It really depends on where you are running. I have done many runs throughout the game with both warriors and rangers.

Ranger Primaries are excellent runners, how ever there are certain runs they cannont due. Like the beacons to droks run, arguably the most profitable. It can be done with a ranger but it is harder. However if you want to run anywhere else a ranger can do the job well

Warrior primarys are my personaly favorite runners. One big advantage that they have is the HoD Lt. helm which reduces hex time. That one helm alone makes Forge runs and FoW chest runs alot easier. I have found a warrior primary can easily run anywhere other than south shiverpeakes. If you decide to go with warrior I would go with a monk or mesmer secondary. warriors have constant running via "charge" and sprint, so ranger skills though better running skills, are not needed on a warrior.

If you plan on doing southern shiverpeake runs a Mo/W or Mo/R are two good options, but those builds have to be fairy specialized for the specific run.

If you are loooking for running builds, I'm fairly certain there are tons of builds mentioned on this site. Just do a search for "forge running" and something should pop-up for W/Mo running builds, if thats what your looking for.

What mattjones said is correct, R/W can run well, but it's generally easier for a W/R. The Wars are just tougher, that's all. Any Ranger can run easily with just 12 WS and Expertise with only Storm Chaser and Escape. If all you need to do is get from point A to point B quickly, and there's not too much of an obstacle in the way, that's your best bet. Personally, I like to take a R/Mo vith Mend Ailment and Holy Veil for easier runs, and a R/W with both Troll Ungent and Signet of Healing for tougher runs.

Generally, you should pick your skills for the area you're going in to.

Thanks, and I have found a few things to say one over the other.
Personally I will stick with my ranger/warrior for faster runs and use my warrior/monk for the harder runs.
My first character is a warrior/monk and recently I made a ranger/warrior, both of which I still have.
